ASTM A516 Grade 70 is the most widely used grade of carbon steel for moderate- to lower-temperature service in welded pressure vessels. It offers an excellent combination of strength and notch toughness, making it the standard choice for manufacturing boilers, heat exchangers, and oil & gas storage tanks.
